ALTO is open for tours every morning of the week. Tour hours are between 9.30am to 11.30am. The duration of each tour is approximately 30 minutes. Please email or call ALTO to book a tour.

ALTO provides ALTO PlayGroups, which is a great opportunity for you and your little ones to experience a typical ALTO morning. No fee is charged for families attending ALTO PlayGroup. However, children attending the Playgroup must be accompanied by one authorised guardian at all times. Book PlayGroup HERE.

The Orientation Session is to help children become familiar with ALTO, its educators, the new environment and friends. Orientation Sessions are scheduled for two hours, from 9.30am to 11.30pm. A maximum of two orientation sessions are provided to our new families. ALTO encourages the authorised guardian to drop the child off at ALTO before 9.30am and pick up at 11.30pm. The educators at ALTO will provide the guardian with feedback on the orientation session and comment on the readiness of the child to start with their first full session at ALTO.

What are ALTO’s opening hours?

ALTO is open 50 weeks of a year from Monday to Friday 7.30am to 6.30pm. ALTO closes for three weeks during the Christmas and New Year breaks.

Can we visit and have a tour at the centre?

ALTO is open for tours on every day it operates. Tour hours are between 9.30am to 11.30am. Please email or call ALTO to book the tour. ALTO also provides a PlayGroup, which is a good opportunity to experience ALTO family life.

Do you offer a Kindergarten Program?

Yes. ALTO is an approved Kindergarten provider. ALTO’s Kindergarten Program is integrated in the Montessori Curriculum, and is provided to children in the year before Prep (children who are 4 years old by 30 April of the current year). Our Kindergarten groups (Pre-prep) are delivered by a qualified and registered Early Childhood Teacher and qualified and experienced Montessori educators.

What is the minimum age to enrol in ALTO?

ALTO accepts children from 2.5 years old that are independently toileting.

Is there an enrolment fee?

Enrolment is free.

Do I have to pay a bond?

A $500 bond is required to complete the enrolment process, which is refundable at the end of the care. Please speak to our friendly administration staff for Fee Policy to see more details.

Is there a minimum number of bookings per week required to enrol?

For 2.5-3 years age group there is a two day booking minimum per weeks. For pre-school children (3-6 years of age) group the minimum weekly booking is three days. All children are welcome to attend up to five days per week.

Is my child required to be immunised before enrolment?

Yes. Any new enrolment requires the child to be fully up-to-date with their immunisations, or be on a catch up schedule, or have a medical exemption to be enrolled into care. Documentation supporting the child’s immunisation status must be provided at the time of enrolment.

All currently enrolled children are required to be up-to-date with the immunisation schedule. Children who are not vaccinated will not receive the Child Care Subsidy.

Does my child have to attend all day?

We highly recommend that all children arrive at ALTO before 9.00am and are not picked up before 3.15pm. However, you may drop your child off anytime after 7.30am with a pickup time of no later than 6.30pm.

Am I able to claim Child Care Subsidy if I enrol with ALTO?

Yes, ALTO is a registered childcare provider. All eligible families are able to claim the Child Care Subsidy (CCS) and other related childcare benefits.

Does ALTO provide meals?

ALTO employs a cook and all food is prepared fresh on the premises. ALTO has a professional nutritionist to design the daily menu. ALTO ensures that children at ALTO receive balanced and nutritious meals that meet their physical and developmental requirements.

Does ALTO provide vegetarian/nuts free/dairy free/gluten free and other special meals?

How do I pay for my fee?

ALTO is nut free centre. ALTO is fully aware of each of ALTO children’s dietary needs and provides with nutritious meals according to their dietary needs and preferences. Special dietary needs must be clearly advised in the Enrolment Form.

What does the daily fee include?

The daily fee includes all meals, including breakfast (before 8.00am), morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, and late snack (5.00pm). The daily fee also includes sunscreen, incursions, extra curriculums, and open information sessions for all parents and families.

Are fees charged when we go on holidays?

Yes, fees are charged from first day the child has booked to attend ALTO, including absent days and Public Holidays. For a holiday of four or more consecutive weeks, ALTO will provide a discounted fee for a portion of the holiday. How do I pay for my fee?

ALTO fees are charged through Direct Debit. Billing is conducted automatically weekly on Monday morning. At enrolment, you will receive a direct debit form to fill in. You can elect to pay your weekly fees by credit card or direct debit. You can change your billing details at any time by providing ALTO with a written notice.
